Recently Panasonic's been on the road with their 2010 lineup of Plasmas, and word on the street is their latest models are mighty fine indeed. The new lineup consists of six series--VT25, G25, G20, S2, U2, and C2--and all are said to offer improved picture quality and black levels compared to last year's comparable lines. The VT25 series features 3D-capability courtesy of Dual Scan and new, faster-responding Short Stroke phosphors dubbed Infinite Black Pro for 60 percent less persistence than Panny plasmas of yore. What's more, the 1080p VT25 series also features 96Hz refresh rate for 24fps sources, THX certification and picture setting, and Panasonic's Viera Cast web feature. All VT25 models will be available in screen sizes from 50"-65." Prices and availability are still TBD, but look for Panasonic's new G25 and G20 series to debut ahead of the top line VT25s. Screen sizes range from 42" to 65" and every series, except for the C2, will feature 1080p resolution. Look for the VT25 and C2 lines late this year; all others should be available by June.
From now until the end of March, Marantz is offering a free Roku HD Digital VIdeo Player with the purchase of any one of their Blu-ray spinners.
