Hey there sports fans! March Madness is upon us, and what better way to watch the tournament than on a new HD TV! CBS is showing the tournament in HD this year, and with so many games to watch, a flat panel display may just be the best investment to make. First up, Mitsubishi is launching a new line of LCD's for the Japanese market. The Real MZ and MX lines. Two MZ sets in 40 and 46" carry 1080p output and a 2000:1 contrast ratio, as well as HDMI. The smaller MX line ( 26,32,37 ) will carry a 1366*-x768 resolution. The sets will be available next month ranging in price from 1,300-3,700$. (engadget report)
This is what I am talking about for the big game! Vizio's 60" plasma that comes in at $2999. You could run out to Costco and have this hooked up before halftime! I don't know how Vizio does it. Here'is what the CNET review had to say (6.6) "The Vizio VM60PHDTV's excellent value proposition will outweigh its picture quality issues for most viewers."
